Relief Work in Punjab
Natural catastrophes are astounding in variety, terrible in their fury and not amenable to human intervention. Jandwala Meera Sangla, a village situated in Distt. Ferozepur received heavy showers on 18th February, 2003. Cyclonic winds took over and uprooted massive trees and threw them several kilometres away. Twentyfive houses were badly damaged. Large bars of iron were crumpled and twisted. Two lives were lost and more than a score received serious injuries. The destruction was unbelievable.
His Holiness Hazoor Pita Ji, in all his saintly generosity, reached the village and provided the healing touch by getting houses reconstructed in a matter of a few hours.
The newly constructed houses handed over by the volunteers to cyclone affected families
